Expressing “Love is in the Air”, I chose to draw an iconic community landmark: the White Rock Pier (complete with a subtle heart-shaped-cloud in the sky). Appreciating elements of classical drawing, and embracing freedom of artistic expression, I focused on capturing a believable sense of space through atmospheric perspective and the suggestion of supports and arches, without being bound to any precise architectural rendering. Each stroll along the promenade, for me, evokes memories of past joys, and reflections on present emotions and future dreams. I hope you enjoy my visual impression of a place loved by those who call White Rock their home.
